學校簡介

杜倫大學（Durham University），又譯作達勒姆大學，世界著名公立研究型大學，英國頂尖精英大學，在英國大學各類排行榜中長期處於第3位至第6位，世界大學排行榜60至70位，在英國乃至全世界一直享有極高美譽。杜倫大學位於英國東北部小城達勒姆，與劍橋大學、牛津大學同為傳統學院製的英國聯邦製大學，這三所學校是英格蘭地區最古老的古典大學，統稱“doxbridge”。杜倫大學也是著名的科英布拉集團和英國常春藤聯盟羅素大學集團的成員之一   。杜倫大學在2019年QS世界大學排名位列74位；2018年QS世界大學排名位列78位；2017年QS世界大學排名位列74位；2016年QS世界大學排名位列61位   。2018年衛報(The Guardian)排名位列全英第4位，英國文學、曆史學、化學、地理學都位列全英前4。杜倫商學院通過了三重認證（EQUIS，AMBA和AACSB），是位列世界前1%的頂尖商學院。  其本科入學要求--英國高考A-level分數長期位於英國前5名。  泰晤士報：“長久以來，作為牛津大學和劍橋大學之外最好的選擇，杜倫大學吸引了大量來自中產階級和更富有家庭的學生。”杜倫大學是英國中產階級本地生申請牛劍被拒絕後的替代選擇。該校畢業生會在自己的名字後麵加注拉丁文縮寫“Dunelm”表示自己畢業於這所大學並視其為榮譽  。杜倫的曆史可追溯到始建於1072年的達勒姆堡和大教堂，是英格蘭第三古老的大學，杜倫城堡和大教堂是聯合國世界文化遺產。

地理環境

杜倫大學占地227.8公頃，其中包括1個聯合國教科文組織世界文化遺產，1座古代紀念碑，5個登記在冊的一級文物保護建築物，68個登記在冊的二級文物保護建築物以及44.9公頃的森林。整個學校分為兩個校區：杜倫市校區和斯托克頓的女王校區。這兩個校區可以通過全周無休的免費巴士頻繁往返。
